A miniature Epidendrum from Ecuador

    EPI UNK.jpg The canes of this plant are tiny for an Epidendrum (well, I think it is an Epidendrum), most were less than six inches tall. The inflorescences had only three flowers. Sadly, I have been unable to find which species this is.

    Also, have seen this at Andy's. Decent sized blooming plants.

    Ricardo, a unique little one.
    It is very cute, it looks like a little forrest fairy with her wings spread and arms out, I like it and it is so small.
    Came back and looked at it again and it just makes me smile.

    Ricardo, I purchased something similar from Andy's a few years back (link). I liked it better than it liked me and it had a slow but steady death. I think my conditions were too warm for it. Was the one you photographed at a high elevation (cool grower)?

    I saw it at an altitude of 9000 feet, the days were 77F and the nights 45F.
