Is it completely enclosed? heating and cooling? or is your elevation able to regulate it? Wonderful.

    Hi all...

Marni, my greenhouse has one side open, that provides good ventilation. As I live at 2670m over sea level, weather is just perfect without any artificial heating/cooling.

Tom, you have a good eye for Masdevallias :) Yes, the third one is M.peristeria. About growing conditions, the greenhouse is only for providing shade and increasing humidity (I have it between 75%-100%), it always rises to 100% at nights.

Kelly, orchids are just a hobby for me. Besides growing them, I also photograph and study them.

Reading this is like salt on an open wound; I have to make do with a modified wine chiller to grow my Pleurothallids. To say that I'm jealous would be quite the understatement.

Hi Tom, days are up to 20-21°C / 75-80% RH(sunny days) and nights usually get down to 9-10°C / 100% RH.

Sebastian, I would love to see your modified wine chiller. I have on many occasions to grow pleuros but can never keep them for very long as I live in florida. I have always wanted to use a wine chiller.

If you look in the archives under Growing Areas, I think you will find a lot of information. You can follow up with questions from there.

Very nice Sebastian. Does the Colombian government allow you to collect orchid species for study as long as they are not sold?

Ditto the above: another vote to see the wine chiller, as I'm very intrigued!
