Here is a simple and successful method for Orchid Seeds planting to culture medium in open-air by chlorine gas.

100% Guaranteed Way of Orchid Seed Sowing at Home with HobiBotanik Method

Seed sterilization with chlorine gas is a known method but the seeds sterilized in the traditional method have to be sown in an aseptic area again. In this method, sowing is carried out in the open field and sterilization and sowing is completed in a single stage, and there is no need to work in an aseptic area.

It is enough to leave the seeds in chlorine gas for 3 hours, but if you want more guarantee, you can increase this time up to 4 hours.

I've got to say: I've never thought of nor tried using Chlorine gas as a sterilant, but it makes sense.. I've got some dry seed that I keep putting off sowing because I dislike working with it, so I may try this method soon.

Yes Chlorine gas needs to pay attention ;) but it is almost safe if you keep bags at outside, protocol is safe, simple and easy.
