    A really special plant! Well done, Gerrit! Do you find it to be a touchy one to grow? The general consensus seems to be that it is difficult. Every time I am at Andy's orchids I almost take one home with me.

    Hi Gerrit, are your leaves pendent? I have had one for four years, but the leaves are still not completely pendent.

    Hi Ryan... I have a fairly large plant and it grows and blooms fine for me... Seeing your growing conditions, you should have no problems growing pectinata...

    Yes Chuck, they're just hanging down just as they should. You grow it mounted?

    I don't think it's a difficult one to grow and flower. I'm keeping it moist and give it cool conditions as much as possible. In summer it sometimes gets to 30°C daytime thou. Don't seem to bother that much when it gets high humidity and air movement.

    I have quite a few and all of the leaves are pendant once they get past the early seedling stage.

    I have have always wanted this unique species...guess I'll be picking one up next time I'm at Andy's :)
