This is finally growing well for me. I've had it for about 8 years. It has come quite a way since I first posted it in 2009. Grown with 56F nights and occasional misting in the winter.

I like that touch of pink on the flower very much. Are the flower short-lived, like 7-10 days?

Marni, here is the one I was going to put your pollen on. Hopefully there is wide consensus it is the same species.

I do hope others will say if they thing they are the same. The main difference I see is that yours has way more flowers!! And I can't get past that. What conditions are you growing it under?

Tom, I pollinated it at about 1 week and the flowers were still fresh. Unfortunately, it was not successful. Not surprising, but I didn't have any other pollen then so thought it was worth a try.

Well, it grows in Cattleya light, gets into the 90s in the summer and lows of 55 in the winter nights. Watered once a week in the winter, couple times a week in the summer.

I talked to Leon Glicenstein about it and after changing all of the images to gray scale, the opinion is that they are the same.

Thanks for the cultural info too. I am not growing mine anywhere near that bright.

It was his plant many a year ago. So the name was then, so shall it be now!
