I had one it looked similar to yours. It grew easily. it was potted in a small 2.5 inch slash clay pot, it had 3 small fans when I got it. Potted it in treefern, charcoal & NZ Moss, water it daily giving it Phalaenopsis conditions (low Light, Warm, Keeping it Moist) produced first 5 flowers on a single spike then about 6 months later 3 spikes with 8-12 flowers per spike. Wish It were still with me, it was a very beautiful plant and I should replace it.

I mature spike should be very beautiful. Congratulations to Laurent! Is it going to get registered soon or does it already have a name?

Got the plant about 1988 from Lou Tempera, he had used his Aerangis luteoalba var rhodosticta Elizabeth FCC/AOS, which was monster sized. The plant died in 1990 while I was away in Australia and New Zealand for the WOC.

That is odd that in 1987 they would allow a hybrid name derived from a combination of the species names. I thought they stopped that way before then.

As far as I know, latin epithets for hybrids were forbidden long ago, haven't heard that for combinations of the parents' names. In Phalaenopsis there are a number of hybrids registered in the last 10 years that have combination names such as Fuscabell.

That's a pretty hybrid, Gilles! I especially like the spur.

Very cool. I love the yellow lip. I have never seen anything like it.
