    Hello all.

As Forrest mentioned the other day, he & I would like to upgrade the forum software. I figure that the least I can do to help push this upgrade forward is to donate some plants for an auction to benefit OI. So, I've started an auction for 6 angraecoids that I think some here might like. The auction can be accessed either through the VBay link above, or through this direct link --> Ang auction.

OI will benefit 100% from this auction. Every penny that this auction draws will go toward the OI operating and upgrade fund.

Thanks to all of you for making OI the premier orchid forum.

Very nice! And you certainly know your audience.

Stupid question -- but it is a single bid for all six plants right? Yeah, see, stupid question.

What's the plant in the second picture? I think I figured out the others, but I can't seem to match that one up.

Oops. Forgot to label the photos. Starting with the top left: scottianum, leonis, florulentum, didieri, mooreana, cryptodon.

Are you sure the second one's leonis? The leonis I've seen have a growth habit similar to Podangis (not sure of the scientific term but fan-shaped and more succulent) except the foliage is arching similar to the whiskers of a cat.

I agree. Don't see a leonis in the bunch. Maybe a magdalenae or Jumellea?

My thoughts exactly. But those would be good too. I like a surprise.

I was thinking magdalenae but that's ok. I already have a leonis, and whatever that is looks healthy and has a bunch of growths.

The tag says leonis, so that's what I've called it. But you all are the experts of this tribe, so I'll say "leonis".

    $25? That's a bit disappointing for 6 plants.

    Congrats, Marni.

Ouch. This is arguably the premier source for actively acquired and distributed orchid species information on the internet, given the posting personalities. Sorry the cause didn't help with the bidding activity.

Congrats Marni -- though you snipered in there at the end. :) That really is a bargain for 6 plants.
