IMG_5819.jpg last month I have ordered a dendrobium plant from an eBay seller who mostly had positive reviews. The plant advertised arrived with dead roots. When I contacted seller, they sent a replacement which was almost just as dead but a little better. Now I am in process of rehabilitating the plant. Don't know if I will be successful, I hope I will be, though. For the future, stay away from him/her, learn from the experience of others

    Kelly,

Do you think you can change the title of this thread and add the vendor's name? In this case, it will be easier for people to find the info.

I've made the image full sized so it is easy to see the name.

I've seen this persons plants. Normally they sell bare root at unreasonable prices. If you're going to sell your divisions at least pot them if you're not going to insure they've established themselves at the time of sell?

On the other hand, I've gotten some great divisions from this seller, including a Masdevallia veitchiana several months ago with healthy roots and for a reasonable price. I think the problem is the inconsistency.

Bare root isn't really an issue. Chances are that you'll want to move it into your preferred mix anyway.

There used to be an importer in the Houston area that brought in tons of species from around the world. The roots were completely cut off before shipping. That meant you had to baby them a bit when you got them, but there was no issue with root rot.

I have purchased from this seller for a long time. His plants have been healthy. He has been quite responsible . One time he sent the wrong plant and he has corrected it immediately. He is a long time seller. Never run into any dead plant before. Must be an exception.
