    I think the flower on mine is almost 0.5" wide. Less than 0.25" is a bit too small for this species but I am not sure if that has anything to do with the maturity of your plant though.

    I've got it in a shadehouse with 50% shadecloth with the other vandas. I've got this one hanging behind one of the big vandas so it doesn't get the full onslaught of the summer sun. Water twice a day in the heat and now every other day.
