I am thinking of putting together a group order for my orchid society with Asiatic Green but I'd like to know what kind of experience others may have had with them.

Point taken. I won't be placing an order. Thank you both.

Sorry to rain on your parade. I mean, there are some great photos on the site, but man... that sucked.

Another vendor who caught my eye, from the same part of the world, is Ooi Leng Sun Orchids of Malaysia. Has anyone had dealings with them?

Ooi Leng is one of my FAVORITE vendors! Of course, I've only dealt with them at shows and never via an international order. But their plants are awesome, and they really know their orchids.

I agree with Alexis, bought tons of plants from them at POE this year, it was their first time in SF, I hope they come back next year. I got a few leafless ones that are in bloom now! YEA!

Sounds like Ooi Leng would be a good vendor to have ship to you from a domestic show...

I agree with you, Jon. I wish there were big shows like Redlands or Santa Barbara for them to come to in Canada.

I'm afraid if I'm going to get any plants from them, I'm going to have to import them.

I believe they have been invited to the Orchid Fest in Vancouver. The show is in March. Do you know Wayne Louie? He would be the guy to contact. PM if you need his info.

    Hi Guys

I would like to advise everyone to not purchase anything from Asiatic Green. There are many other reputable dealers in my country so feel free to ask me for recomendations. Its sad to see how Amos runs his business and he does not depend on repeat customers as there are none. Further developments this year during our show have made it clear that he is out to make a quick buck. He swindled 2 overseas vendors out of stall rental fees by telling them that he would help book the booths. However when they arrived, there were no booths for them and they inturn had to squeeze into his booth which they paid for. This really shows the kind of person he is...which is rather sad.
