Has anyone dealt with this Malaysian orchid nursery? Their website seems to have a plethora of really rare species, but none of them have pictures. I emailed them to ask for some feedback from other customers, but I have not heard back as of yet. I am working on getting an import permit because I am very interested in some of their oxyglossum Dendrobiums, but I wanted to make sure they are a legitimate company before spending money.

Chris, your link took me an Ebay page for clear plastic pots.

I haven't dealt with them, but friends have. Apparently, if you are ordering and going to pick up at a show where you can inspect the plants before buying they can be good. I am told that much of what is on their website is not available.

Sorry Kelly, I'm not sure why it put a link on orchid nursery. The name of the nursery is Beauty and Lovely Orchid Nursery and their website is bnlorchid.com

Thanks Marni,I asked for some pictures of the plants that I am thinking about ordering and she sent me some really lovely pictures, but the time stamp of them were from between 2005 and 2012. I asked for more up to date pictures just to be sure that the plants are in good condition and this is a legitimate company. Having you say your friends have dealt with them gives me a little reassurance.

Chris, I wouldn't take what I said as a stamp of approval. From what I hear, they are a legitimate company, but if you aren't going to see the plants in person before you pay, I would not start with a big order.

A bit more information. While I said they are a "legitimate" company, I meant that they have been in business over a period of time and not someone who is in business for a year or two and then gone. I don't mean to say that the business practices are admirable or acceptable. Advice from a previous customer: "First recommendation for those trying to do business with them: NEVER order & receive parcel. they'd most probably send you junk. ALWAYS check before paying anything."

I only looked at the Bulbophyllum list, but man if half of that is available, that'd be an impressive list of plants. Does anyone know if they ever vend at US shows?

Thank you Marni for that information. I asked for pictures of their stock especially of the plants that I want to order, and from the pictures they look to be very healthy of big plants, but when I saved them to my phone and looked at them again I noticed most of the pictures were from back in 2005-2012. None more recent than that. I contacted them again and asked for more up to date pictures, but have not heard anything back in a couple of days.

Goods, last night I emailed hem asking if they come to any US shows, but again have not heard back.

I'm the previous customer, and I should add that the pictures they may show you (1 year ago, all spp had a picture on their website, don't know why they removed them) are unlikely to be representative of the size they send. They have lots of misidentification, and mostly send the smallest pîece they can detach of a plant; they are not based in png, and only occasionnally go there to shop or collect
