A rare variety of this spectacular species. Intermediate, moist, shady.
I wonder about the term albina applied to this flower. As I understand albina/albino it signifies lacking pigmentation. This is lighter than the type, but it definitely has pigmentation.
Interesting point. I purchased this clone as Bollea ecuadorana albina. Now I wonder if it should be called semi-alba?
Semi-alba makes me think of a lip with color and solid white tepals.
Def. not any kind of alba, just a slightly liighter color. Does the tag just say that or is it a selfing/outcross? I suspect that is the case whether noted on the label or not.
