Bulbo. makoyanum hybrid

    This is labeled B. makoyanum, but I think it is a makoyanum hybrid that is in general circulation in the US incorrectly labeled. Does anyone know what the name and parentage are? The umbel is a bit over 2" in diameter.

    Hi Marni, it looks like what is sold as Bulb. Daisy Chain (makoyanum x cumingii). Bill Thoms says he thinks everything labeled Daisy Chain is really Bulb. lepidum, though the lepidum I have is vegetatively pretty different from the plant I formerly grew labeled Daisy Chain.

    Marni, I also have a B. makoyanum that looks similar to yours. Thanks for bringing up this question.
    Nathaniel, here is a photo that shows some of the vegetative structure of mine. Marni, does this look like yours? Mine rambles randomly on its mount.

    Except for the part about your plant looking really happy and robust, yes, I would say it looks the same.
