    Bulbophyllum dennisii
    Authored by: Jon

Description: Accepted in 1983. Found from PNG to the Solomon Islands. I only know of one clone in the US; 'Lil'.

    Culture:

    Temps:
    - Summer: 60-90f
    - Winter: 50-80f

    Light: High light

    Humidity: 60-80%

    Air circulation: Breeze

    Growing location: Greenhouse

Growing medium: Mount - Tree fern

    Growing medium notes:

    Water:
    - Frequency: Daily
    - Fertilizer & frequency: Daily with MSU at 1/4 recommended strength
    - Dry rest: No.

    Blooming season: Spring, Summer, Fall

Flower size: Sepals are approx 3". Spike is approx 4" and thick.

Plant size: A small clumping plant. Pseudobulbs are about 1" tall with 4" leaves. My plant has been known to create up to 15 new leads per bulb in a single growing season, though most do not survive. I would guess the most that have survived would be about 7.

Other firsthand observations: A very easy and rewarding grower. My plant has covered a 4x6" piece of tree fern in 3 years.

    Other plants growing well nearby:
    Bulbophyllum fenixii
    Bulbophyllum longicaudautum
    Bulbophyllum striatellum
    Bulbophyllum inunctum
    Maxillaria marginata
