Description: Found in Thailand, this plant was described in 1965.

    Culture:

    Temps:
    - Summer: 60-90f
    - Winter: 50-75f

    Light: High light

    Humidity: 60-80%

    Air circulation: Slight breeze

    Growing location: Greenhouse

    Growing medium: Mount - Other

Growing medium notes: Manzanita mount with minimal sphagnum moss

    Water:
    - Frequency: Daily
    - Fertilizer & frequency: Daily with MSU at 1/4 recommended strength
    - Dry rest: No.

    Blooming season: Fall

Flower size: Flowers are small. They are about 3-4mm laterally on a small, pinecone shaped spike. I would estimate there are approximately 25-30 flowers per spike.

Plant size: Small bifoliate clumper. 1.5cm pseudobulbs are spherical until later in the growing season when they shrivel. Narrow leaves are approx 8cm long until they drop in the late summer/early fall.

Other firsthand observations: Plant likes to dry out between waterings. It would probably prefer a drier winter than the summer, but my conditions do not permit this.

    Other plants growing well nearby:
    Phalaenopsis cornu-cervi
    Bulbophyllum dayanum
    Bulbophyllum arfakianum
    Cadetia taylori
