Description: Described in 1913, published in 1914. Discovered in the Philippines.

    Culture:

    Temps:
    - Summer: 60-90f
    - Winter: 50-80f

    Light: Low light

    Humidity: 60-80%

    Air circulation: Slight breeze

    Growing location: Greenhouse

    Growing medium: Mount - Other

Growing medium notes: Mounted on manzanita.

    Water:
    - Frequency: Daily
    - Fertilizer & frequency: Daily with MSU at 1/4 recommended strength
    - Dry rest: No.

    Blooming season: Spring, Summer

Flower size: Lateral sepals are a little over 1cm. Dorsal sepal is about 1cm, perhaps a little less. Spike is about 8cm and thin. Flower is held just above the leaves.

Plant size: Plant is small and clumping. Pseudobulbs are about 1.5-2cm with leaves of 5-7cm.

Other firsthand observations: Plant is mounted on sand-blasted manzanita, though I suspect it would be happier on cork. It rambles a little bit too much to be a good basket or pot candidate.

    Other plants growing well nearby:
    Bulbophyllum catenulatum
    Bulbophyllum longicaudautum
    Bulbophyllum striatellum
    Maxillaria marginata
