I recieved this one in a trade over a year ago. Since I have had this plant it has more than doubled in size and has 40+ growths now so it is BS. I am growing it intermediate under lights next to Bulbophyllum ovalifolium and Bulbophyllum pardalotum which both flower for me.

Does anyone have any advice to get this one to flower?

The plant I have was collected years ago by a friend. It was from a relatively high elevation. I'm finding that it blooms less for me now than before, perhaps because I have raised my night temp over the years. But it does still bloom. I used to grow it at 50F nights, now it is 56. Makes me think I should try mine in another spot.

Mine needs more light than ovalifolium and pardalotum to bloom.

    TY both

hmmmmm....I already have it within a couple inches of the lights so I might have to move it to my other groing area, but the tempatures are warmer there

I wouldn't be too concerned about the higher temps, Tom. This species is a pretty tolerant grower.

I've noticed that a lot of bulbos will grow quickly when subjected to temps lower than ideal. When I move them to higher lights and temps, they explode with flowers. I recommend you move the thing and stand back.

I got her a necklace from a local artist/jeweler she has been eyeing up for some time now (actually I had it easy and she went and picked it up for me to be sure she got the right one ;))

Taking the kids shopping tomorrow for Mom then I will be done and ready.

Except for wrapping a couple of things, I'm done with this season. In more ways then one.
As to what I'll get, who knows. I want a good paella pan, but that aint gonna happen. I'll get one for myself after the holidays. I also found a necklace I like and I'll order it too.

Ain't this forum wonderful? Please post pics if you have time

Finals, yuck!! I used to sing myself a little diddy upon the completion of my last final every quarter. And despite the fact that I finished college 15 years ago, that little song is going through my head at this very moment. LOL!

Did you do something different culture-wise, Tom? I need to check on mine in the morning and see if it has spikes.
