This one is about 7" tall Marni, which is smaller than what this plant has shown in the past. I've been neglecting my plants as of late... :(

One of the good things about most orchids is though they may suffer with the neglect, they respond when things improve and your efforts will be rewarded.

I am relatively new at this but that flower is a monster. Is this the normal size of flower for this genius. I raise compact catts, oncidium and some phals at present. How difficult is tbe culture of this genius.

Well, bulbophyllum flowers range from echinolabium, of which mine tends to be 16-17" tall, to things like phillipsii (now deceased) with 1/4" flowers. I would not be surprised to find there's smaller flowers, too.

So, there's really no "normal" size for the genus.

I'm new to the Genus as well. However, I feel that if you can't keep them moist they're not going to like it.
This hybrid (Bulb. Kalimpong) doubled its mass in about 6 months; I dunk it everyday and keep it about 8" from my T5 lights.... It's pretty warm in it's spot.

I can either use a T5 light or the new Led that puts out about 4000fc at 4ft away. So what u r saying is keep itnwarm and vry moist. What would be a good Bulbo to start with.
