The flowers are about 1mm across. For reference, the blue wire holding the plant on to the mount is a standard coated telephone cable wire.

I have no collection data on this plant.

Whatever it is named it is one of the coolest leafless plants I have ever seen!

Marni, while I was trying to id my own plant, I found a picture of Camplylocentrum grisebachii which I think yours might be.

Thanks, Tom, I looked at that, then I went to Orchidstudium and checked there, then back to Jay's. I think it might be Campylocentrum fasciola ( http://orchidspecies.com/campyfasciola.htm). My flowers are 1 to 1.5 mm across. Campylocentrum grisebachii is listed at 2.5mm and fasciola at 2mm. It could be either one really, but these are very, very tiny.

Thanks for the help, I'm going to put both names on the label.

    You are welcome.
I agree it could be either of them. If your plant is still in bloom, you can take a closer look and make a better judgement.

I have it here on the table with the head loop and an extra magnification over that. I can try and take a closer photo, but my eyes just aren't good enough.
