He's been around for a while, so I suspect plenty of people have had experience with it.

Have you had any dealing with him? If so can you tell me about your experience with their plants.

If you don't want to click Dale's link which i'm sure must include my last tirade about that loser Nasser, ask Kevin J. about him. He had much the same experience as me and orchidNick from GW and probably everyone else that has ever mail ordered from that @#$%&*. Kevin told me "I will never buy another plant from him without seeing it first".

Don't worry I read the post Dale referenced and I was on the phone yesterday with Kevin and he told me just as much. That really is too bad as he has an awesome Bulbo list.:bang:

Yes, if they were all labelled correctly, he would have one helluva bulbo list.

On the up side, he's lots of fun to hang out with at orchid shows. He will talk your shoes off and is just so nice and funny. I wouldn't mail order but I do buy from him at the Atlanta show. We walked around together at the last show I attended and he was talking smack about different vendors there. It was all in good fun and I really enjoyed his company.

Well MJ, after I finished speaking about him with my friend Kevin, he told me to save a list of what I wanted and since they go every year to the show in SC he would personally go (he's going anyways) and select the plants for me. This is something I like because Kevin is someone I completely trust when it comes to orchids.

It's nice to have a trusted orchid buyer. It's better to be able to pick them out yourself but who has the money and time to jet around to every show?
I hope to make a few shows next year, I haven't been to one for some time now.
The local show was moved from Nov08 to Feb/March09 to coincide with some shindig at the botanical gardens. That bummed me out, a Nov show is a nice break.

Just to clarify....the plants he sent me were some of the biggest and best Angraecoids I've ever bought or seen. They just weren't the ones I ordered. I would not hesitate to buy his plants again, if I saw them in person first. With Kev as your buyer, you'll do fine. Maybe he can shop for some Angs for me? woohoo! (I love Angs, fyi)

I pre-ordered some plants from Tom Nasser when he was coming to speak to our local orchid society. He forgot to bring them, but I did buy a couple that he had brought with him. The plants were nice and healthy, what they were supposed to be, and bloomed within a year. I don't think I'm in any danger of getting mislabeled plants because he has never responded to my e-mails when I've tried to place an order.

Well, if you happen to live close as I do, it's a great place to visit and he and his wife are gracious and generous hosts. I've never mail ordered from him though. His plants are very well grown. I did get a few Pleuros that were mislabeled but they were also very inexpensive and something I didn't have. I haven't been in about a year though.
