Cattleya jenmannii rubra

    This Cattleya jenmannii rubra is a first bloom seedling. It had 2 flowers that are just a bit over 5" natural spread. It looks good in the image, but even better in person! And it has a lovely fragrance.
    Edit: it actually also bloomed last year and I missed it.

    Stunning. How large is the plant? Just curious about it since it's a first bloom seedling.

    I had to go look. It has 2 mature growths and a several smaller ones. I was so focused on the flower when I photographed it that I didn't notice it had bloomed last year too. Don't know how I missed that.
