I love, love spotted Catts. The substance, glossiness, and texture are phenomenal. The contrast between the lip and petals/sepal is intriguing. For those who care, they are very fragrance. Although I could really do without that part.

Cattelya Mareeba Tiger is a primary hybrid between Cattleya tigrina (syn. leopoldii)x Cattleya schilleriana. When grown very well, it can produce upwards of 10+ flowers per inflorescence. Although I am far short of that, I am very happy with this year's blooming. This is the third or fourth year it has flowered for me. Last year, I had 3 flowers on one inflorescence but this year I have 3 inflorescence with 2 flowers each. I am counting that as progress.

This is the first time I have bloomed Cattleya Lacey Michelle Matherne (Cattleya aclandiae x Cattleya tigrina). I am guessing that Cattleya tigrina will take over and increase the plant size and flower count over time. This is very similar to Cattleya Landate (aclandiae x guttata)

They are gorgeous, both of them. I love their intense colors.
    Are they fragrant?

Thanks, Dana and Harvey. Both are very fragrant during the day.
