I battled with this, and finally wound up resorting to moving all my cool-growing orchids into a small second bedroom with a window air conditioning unit that runs 24/7. I do this for the summer months. It bumps up the utility bills, but I figure I've already invested so much money in the plants, so that justifies the electricity. I do grow all my cool growers in a tank, though, so that makes it easier to move them.

I have never used one but I hear that they work well and thiers no need to worry about surrounding tempature and keep watered.

I have not tried them or even heard of them before. I just checked out their website, which looks intriguing. Might ask if anyone on here has experience with them.
