Since I'm building a new grow cabinet, I thought it would be fun to see what other people use for their grow areas. I know a number of members use greenhouses, but I also know a lot of us have custom-made enclosures, etc. for in-the-house growing. E-mail a couple/few pics of your grow area to [email protected], and when I get a few submissions (say... 6+), I'll start a poll where the forum can decide who has the coolest grow area. I'll send the winner a plant that should do well in whatever conditions exist in the winning grow area. If you don't live in the US, you can still submit your area. I'll send the plant to a US OI-member of your choice.

Feel free to submit pictures of your tank, cabinet, room, etc. I'd love to see 'em!

If I win and you send me a floof as the prize, i'll be pissed off.

In fact, I'd like some kind of assurance that if I take the trouble to take pics and enter, should I win, I will not receive a bulbo, floof, hybrid, or anything remotely like an Oncidium. :D

Is there a time limit on this? I'm in the process of building an indoor growing orchid house complete with cooling system humidistat and some very special grow lamps.

    "in progress" is fine.

Since nobody has sent a single pic yet, I'm kinda thinking this contest might be a dud. Seriously folks... let's see where you grow your orchids.

Does my plant stand count as an entry? My grow room is so much more and is the end result of 5 years of tweeking and comparing notes with other growers. I don't/won't have time to email you until the middle/end of the month.

Why don't you put a March 1st deadline on entries. I think I have a chance with this contest. To bad I can't recieve the prize.

On March 1st, I will post a poll with all of the pictures I've received. That said, I've only received one entry thus far. I'm thinking I want people like Chris, Kyle, Tom-DE, Wendy, Dawn, etc. to submit entries. Oh... and I'll prolly submit my own cabinet when it's complete. :)

I think it makes sense to post the pictures in a single location so people don't have to scroll through a thread to see who has what.
