Cutting my stem question

    Hi! I am a newbie and I just repotted my phal for the first time. I bought it in like April and the flowers have been falling off for a week so I cut the flower spikes then repotted my plant. The roots were in bad shape & my phal has like 4 good roots left after I repotted it.

    Should I cut the entire stem so my plant will just focus all it's energy on the mother part? Or will it be ok as is with the stem? The stem is still green.

    Others may have a different answer, but I would cut the spike so that the plant will focus on root and leaf growth. If you post a picture of the plant, it would be helpful to see what kind of shape it is in.

    I think I agree with you. Cutting the spike is for the best. I want my plant to focus on leaf and root growth. Also the plant is just leaning to the side. Those leaves stand up when I support the plant.

    Your plant looks very healthy. It looks to me as if it is potted just a bit low. You might want to take out a layer or two of bark.
