I'm introducing myself to others on this forum. I've been a member for some time but have not been very active on the forum. I have a small greenhouse in coastal California where I mostly grow Mexican Laelias and related species, mostly mounted. I've been experimenting with alternative mounting supports.

David, welcome to Orchids Forum. What alternative mount materials have you been experimenting with?

Hi KellyW. I've been testing various shapes and forms of ceramics as mounts for the orchids. This could be a plaque of unglazed ceramic such as terra-cotta. This could be covered with something like hygrolon.
