About a year ago i got a five foot, 30+ leaved vanda that had never bloomed. It is continuously drying and dying from the base upwards. Hanging next to it i have a seven leaved vanda in spike, so it should be happier in it's new home then it was before. With only four actively growing roots, all at the base, what's a person to do? Well.... I just soaked it in a bathtub of warm water for an hour !?!?! If it survive's and thrive's I'll let you know, or did I just kill it with kindness? bob.

I have been told that 8minutes is the magic number for soaking vandas and any other type that are like them? I trust this person bc she had wonderful almost fake looking waxey flowers and growing vandas in ohio can be difficult. .
