Anyone have any tips on this one? I'm thinking it's one that needs a dry rest, but I have one starting a new growth now.

Here is what I would do:
if it is a seedling, keep watering it and make sure the temperature is not too cool.
if it is a BS plant, stop/reduce the watering anyway.

Yes, it needs winter rest. A couple years ago, I didn't give mine a winter rest and I lost almost all the growths to rotting. Not an easy one to grow IMO. Warmer growing season and cooler winter months, and bright light work well for me now.

I got it from Oak Hill as a blooming sized plant, but I lost most of the old pseudobulbs to low air circulation in the greenhouse while I was away at school. I'd say it's down to 1 or 2 old growths plus this one. Should I treat it like a young plant since it doesn't have many growths or give it the rest?

I'd vote to restrict water pretty severely until you get roots going on the new growth, and even then keep the water light with good air movement. I've rotted too many new shoots on this and unicum by watering before they showed roots, though once they really get going they seem to appreciate a lot of moisture. Good luck!

I just went and checked the new growth. It's got one root that's about 1/2" long and a few more nubs that I can see. I've got it in a terrarium indoors, high humidity, temps in the 60s to upper 70s, watered 2-3 times a week right now.
