Dendrobium melinanthum

    At least it may be that species, which was the name on the tag. But I have purchased plants with very similar vegetative/flower aspects, under the D. dillonianum and mohlianum names! Anyhow, the long lasting flowers are of an amazing burned orange color, which I hope will be passed into his hybrids which I made with some Oxyglossum species.

    All of the D mohlianum that I've seen had red on the lip, so I don't think it's that.

    100% agree! Now that I have also bloomed true D. mohlianum, I know that plant can't be mohlianum. and considering description of D. dillonianum in Baker & Baker, I think it can't be that either. Best best is melinanthum then.
