Eric, I've been growing a number of different clones, some for years, and rarely bloom it. On the other hand, I have a few friends who bloom it regularly and I don't know what the difference is.

Also got one from Andy's two years ago. Mine grows like a weed and has doubled in size. But like Marni, I can say blooms definitely don't come easily regardless of what I try. Good luck.

Stephen, we probably got the same clone from Andy's. Mine grows like a weed too. Last year it tried to flower but blasted. It appears to be developing 2 spikes now ... just noticed them yesterday and had to get out the hand lens to really see them. So tiny. Anyway, fingers are crossed.
The one that blasted last year seemed like it was going to be white. Hopefully it isn't cleistogamous.

I also got one of Andy's white ones last year and the plant height is 2 or 3 times the size of the blue ones.

I doubt you have a good growing condition for this species, Jai. Perhaps you should learn about the growing requirement first or improve your growing condition first. Although it is somewhat available now, this species had been a holy grail(meaning rare and very hard to find) for years...killing one "was" like committing a sin.

PS, you might want to give credit to the photo owner here as well.

I'm currently working on a mini greenhouse with the perfect growing conditions for this orchid and others like it(75-55F and a misting system/fogger to keep the humidity).

I'm debating on plexy glass, regular glass or plastic cover?
