This den. had a couple of buds bloom yesterday. Dendrobium Suree Peach is quite popular in Thailand and SE Asia and India, and there are some sellers in the USA that also sell this plant.

It is not registered with RHS.

I have two of these plants. The one in bloom had an accident. I think a neighborhood cat tried walking through my tree stump growing area and knocked it over, breaking off the spike. I simply stuck the spike with the buds back into the growing medium, and wholla-- a few days later two of the buds bloomed.

    Thanks for looking.

Thank You. The color in this den is a surprise to me. I thought it would be a very pale looking bloom.

I am updating this Den. Suree Peach (alt. Surin Peach) thread. The two plants have been combined into one pot and have been moved twice since I posted this thread on 21 Aug. The original broken flowering spike has died, but has been replaced with three new flowering spikes with blooms. IMG_20221017_075024.jpg IMG_20221017_075129.jpg IMG_20221017_075135.jpg

I saw a vendor selling that plant at a recent orchid show. There is a local show in the beginning of July. Since the two societies are only 70 miles from each other, maybe the vendor will be at the local show. You sure are doing a fantastic job in growing that plant. If I see any at our local show, I'll probably buy one. I really like the color of the flower.

Thanks. I had to leave my original plant with my Thai ex-wife in Chiang Mai. I bought this most recent plant from the same seller as the original plants. Now this one has two spikes with buds getting ready to bloom. I agree with you--the peach color is almost unique and very beautiful. By the way, Suree/Surin (same plant) Peach is a terrific bloomer all year-long and the blooms last quite a long time. Easy to grow and maintain. Watch out for snails and slugs.
