Dendrophylax lindenii

    the cypress knees are not a bad idea. As an aside, when you mount them, position them so that the growing center is toward the mount, underneath the roots...this seems counter-intuitive, but it is the way D. lindenii grows in the wild. D. porrectus, on the other hand, grows with its growth center upwards. I will need to double-check, but I believe Campylocentrum pachyrrhizum grows center-down as well.

    But I might use fishing line as opposed to super-glue.

    Prem, I too have thoroughly enjoyed your documentation of Dendrophylax porrectus in habitat. Thank you for bringing it to the web.

    My D. sallei are also mounted with the growth tip facing the mount. When I first got them I thought it curious, but they really appreciate this orientation. It's good to be reminded of this.

    Alan's mother D. funalis is the size of a basketball and always seems to be in spike. I have a couple of chunks in my GH that are growing like mad. I grow it hot & humid and very bright, right next to Microcoelia stolzii.
