I've been using the mistking system for years, and while it's moderately effective for when I go away on weeklong holidays, I haven't figured out a way to mount the nozzles such that everything is watered thoroughly. Having them just mounted on the ceiling of the enclosure is just insufficient at watering the lower parts of the tank. I've improved the situation somewhat by running the nozzles longer (suboptimal due to increased water wastage), as well as extending the nozzles with 1/4" tubing, then wrapping the tubing with a coil of wire which I can somewhat manipulate to direct nozzle output. This second option has improved things, but the wire is still not totally malleable.

I've come across this goose neck tubing stuff, which seems to be close to what I'm going for, but I'm looking for a thinner substance out there that can be flexible enough to be manipulated, but stiff enough to support a nozzle where I point it.

Has anyone come across something like this or has experiences to share? I don't even know what to search for on google.

    Much thanks!

In one tank I had, I ran tubing down a back corner, to an elbow at the bottom, allowing me to run the tubing on the floor of the tank, so sprays could be directed up from the bottom, in addition to from the top.

Calvin, the idea of wrapping wire sounds like a good one if you use the right gauge of the wire.

I made a stand which sits in the middle of the enclosure with left-over lumbers. I made multiple holes, so I can adjust the height of the nozzles.

What I do is turn up the watering schedule way up while I am gone and then turn it back down when I get back. Effectively I over water for several weeks. With good airflow, it doesn't seem to impact the plants I keep too much.

Thanks for all the suggestions. André that looks exactly like what I need, depending on whether it fits into the nozzles / 1/4" tubing easily. I don't read German though so not 100% sure if it works. Have you used it?

Greg - I'm essentially using this strategy - overloading the tank with more nozzles than are really needed so I overwater everything.

Found these online. Will get one or two and report back how they work!
