I bought Epigeneium with this name. Yesterday first flower bloomed. Can you help with identification? The name "gongshanense" I never did find ...

this is amazing Epigeneium - love it! I think I had it as well, but never flowered and most likely lost it already, now will be double upset ;-( Such a good flower!!!

About the name am not sure, the only one orchid I heard with this epithet is Bulbophyllum Or Coelogyne gongshanense, but none of them look anything as this.

    Maybe it is seller mistyping.

What about Epigeneium gaoligongense, is this description match?:

    http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=2&taxon_id=250092807

maybe it is not this either I wish to know myself

any way one more time -- it is superb species :clap::clap::clap:

Piotr, a description much agree, especially those dots on the lip and reddish-purple markings. Pity that nowhere photo, but for now I am writing this name on a tag

    Hi Eva,
Your plant is Epigeneium gongshanense H.Yu & S.G.Zhang, which is illustrated in The Wild Orchids of Yunnan (2010). The text is in Chinese, so I don't know where the name was published. It seems as if the World Checklist has yet to catch up.

    Cheers.

That is a super cool looking flower! I'm guessing that it is not easy to find this.

    Hallo Eva,
I bought this plant today in Germany at Elsner Orchideen.
Can you share some info on how you keep this plant. Light, temps, humidity, as it is hard to find some info on the web.

    Hello André,
Now winter is colder part of the greenhouse, the temperature 18/12 C, rather dry, I spray the roots gently 1-2 times per month. In summer, the garden, in the shade.

Thank you, Eva for the info.
I can deliver this specifications for this miniature. I only have to move it to a little dryer place in my orchidarium. And in summer I keep al my minituares outside in the shade. It will fit in. [emoji4]
