This plant came from Peru about 5 years ago. I am growing this one in intermediate conditions. I have another one that I got at the same time growing in cool conditions that is in spike now, but much farther behind. It is the first time I have bloomed either of them. I moved both of them in to brighter light earlier this year. Perhaps that made the difference. The flowers are about 1.25" wide.

Piotr, I had to look that up, I had no idea that is was so widespread. If you do see it, please report back on the habitat and take lots of pictures. Even if you don't see it, take lots of pictures.

Yes I did, very good memory you have there! It is from Colombia. I think I posted it here. I had also gotten a seedling of this a couple of years ago, but it has never really grown. Not sure if I pitched it out or not, but it was very disappointing.

Yes I checked, it was reported as well from Costa Rica, and Eriopsis wercklei but possible it is synonim... I plan do it on Feb ;-) as well rotidobulbon, actual in book: "Tropical plants of Costa Rica" is written that: "While much orchid literature notes E. biloba as the name for Costa Rican specimens, the correct name is E. rotidobulbon" ;-) Any way they are so similar...

The first Eriopsis I bloomed was sold to me as rotidobulbon from Colombia, but eveyone agreed it was biloba. But I've never seen one.
