Establishing Schoenorchis gemmata

    Does anyone have experience taking divisions of of this species? Mine branch, but never seem to put out roots on keikis.

    Interesting question, Marni. I tied a top growth back to the mount few months ago, but I still have not seen any root yet.

    Thanks, Tom. I guess I'll bypass tying part of it on to the mount and go straight for cutting something off.

    A few years ago I tried making an outcross. I remember using a pushpin to try to get the pollen. When I saw it through magnification that push pin looked like a battering ram. I do love this species so I may try again.
