    I've had a broad interest in orchids and other plants for a long time, both in the garden and also in habitat. Doing a lot of trekking over the years has shown me the way many orchids grow in the wild. My orchid collection in the garden is pretty modest and it's what I'd call 'a bit experimental.' But I like to see them growing in a natural sort of way.

    Thanks for the words of welcome. I guess the best place to put the habitat photos would be in the Orchid Species section.

    The one above is Dendrobium affine growing in my garden. The photos below are Cymbidium maddidum in habitat.
