Ghost Orchid

    Hi, my Ghost Orchid has gone from a nice green to a not so bright green almost brownish color I have not changed any of the conditions in his tank ImageUploadedByTapatalk1433974019.455877.jpg . Any thoughts or help would be helpful Thank you . Michelle

    The roots look silvery to me, and that happens to all aerial roots that orchids produce once they dry out. Your plant's roots were green because the velamen (outside cover) was absorbing water and was constantly wet. Once it dried out, they turned the silvery-gray colour they normally are. I don't think the plant is in any danger, and if you give it a sprinkle of water I'm sure the roots will soak up the water and turn green once again.
