    My name is Cor van Honk, i live in The Netherlands and am interested in Latin American orchids, though not exclusively. I was trained as a biologist, got a PhD in Science and worked at a University for some years before starting a diplomatic career that took Jeannette, my wife, and me, to eleven postings on 4 continents. Retired now and building an orchid house for our collection. Most belong to the Cattleya, Laelia and Maxillaria alliances.

    I used to work with folks in the chemical industry in Vlissingen, and I can honestly say that I've never met a Dutchman (or woman) that I didn't like!
