What happened to the link for "Go to first unread." I miss it.

I never used this feature. Did it disappear with the last update?

I didn't notice until recently that it was gone. I didn't use it a lot, but it is a nice feature when you get to 2 and 3 pages of posts on a thread.

Isn't it a default behavior? When you click the title of a thread, it seems to go to the first unread post, which I thought is a nice feature of XenForo (the forum software).

Not if you have already looked at the last post. In that case it takes you to the beginning. If I want to go back and check something or add something I have to scroll or go to the next page. It was just a handy feature to have for someone with a bad memory.

Where was this feature located? (Where did you click it at?)

It is there now. Just above the first post.

Marni, I think the button appears when there is an unread post in the thread. So when I came to page, I saw the button. But when I go back and click this thread again, the button disappears because I have read all. I was puzzled by this at first, too.

Naoki, you are probably right. But when I go to a thread with a new post it takes me to the first unread post. If I go back to the page without a new post, it takes me to the first post and doesn't give me the option of Go to first unread.

So what is the point of having it when you don't need it and not having it when you could use. (That is obviously a rhetorical question from a frustrated user and not intended for you.)

It doesn't show because there are no unread posts. The forum software can't take you somewhere that doesn't exist. However, if you look underneath the Last Message Column and click on the date underneath the username, it will take you to the last post.

Thanks for the explanation. The Message Column link will do I what I was wanting.
