We've been snowed in for over a week now, with 12-15 inches of accumulation from 3 separate storms. Temperatures were as low as 10F and have not been above freezing for the last 10 days. Here are a couple of pics of one of my grow spaces before the last snow. The orchids seem to all be fairly warm and cozy despite the horrible weather outside. DH did finally go out and shovel a path to the GH and clear the door so that I could get inside.

When I went out to clear storm drains yesterday (wishful thinking!) the snow was up to my knees in places. It's snowing again today. This is ridiculous.

I just saw on the news another storm was hitting your area...hope you kept the path shoveled to the greenhouse so you can get away to your own little tropical paridise and forget about the white stuff outside ;)

So nice to see you folks keeping all that white stuff up there.... I have a fiddle leaf Fildendrum (I have no clue how to spell it) that grew trough the bottom of the pot and has become a perminant part of our back yard landscape. You cannot imagine how far those roots have traveled. For the last couple of years I have used a canvas car cover to cover it up during the a frost. So far, the temps have only reached 35 degrees. However, our coldest months are genrally in January and February.
