For those of you who want to post an image but can't seem to figure it out, here is a step by step. It is really easy once you know how. I am on a Mac but I think it is pretty much the same on a PC.

Create a new thread in the forum you want to post in. Just to the right of the "Create Thread" button is the "Upload a File" button.
    Screen Shot 2013-10-27 at 3.17.46 PM.png =============================================================================

Click on the Upload a File button and it takes you to the directory/window on your computer so you can navigate to the files you want to upload.

Highlight the images you want to include in your post. You can do multiples if you want and they will show up below your post in the order they are in your file.

The images show as thumbnails below the area that has the create thread–upload a file–preview buttons. You can choose the thumbnail or full image for all at one time if they are in the order you want them. If you want to change the order they were in on your computer, you can click full image next to the one you want first and it will go wherever the cursor is. The next one you click on will go below that or were ever the cursor is if you have moved it.

Here you can see I've clicked on the first image to show as a full image. You can repeat as many as you have and if you get them in the wrong order you can click on the full screen image and hit delete to remove it from the post, or you can hit delete next to the file name down below and it will be deleted from there.

If this isn't clear let me know and I will try to clarify.

Thank you for this tutorial. This is how it works on an iPad via Safari.

I am trying to see if I can do this. I "uploaded a file" but I do not get an image below the reply to thread. There are three little bars that keep scrolling at the left but no image. No option to select full size. The picture was taken with a new android phone and cropped down so it can't be too big. I am going to hit reply to thread and see what happens

That is not me, I can't tell what picture I am clocking on when I select it in my downloads. It is past midnight and I am giving this up for now. By all.

Another way to embed image is to type in something like this at the place where you want to include your image:
    Code:
    [img]URL_Of_Image[/img]
You can click the attachment to find the url. So for example, with your uploaded image, you can do something like this:
    Code:
    [img]https://www.orchidsforum.com/attachments/img_20150602_155103-jpg.33510/[/img]
    Then you see this.

I don't have anytime this morning, but I got a picture of what I get on my screen when I click on upload a file. I will send it. Please let me know if it comes through as I do not get little image on here at all. This time the little window for "more options" came up and I do see the thumbnail and the choice for full image. I can see it too. Have you tried just dragging the image you want into the box where you type the text? Much easier

IMG_20161116_080805.jpg I can't seem to drag a photo after I click on upload a file. I just picked one and will see what size it goes as. It is Paph. shilleriana x Ballet Girl

You probably figured out that you don't drag the file from " Upload file" but from the finder or you photo program.
