    Do you recommend this CD-ROM?

I generally prefer physical books over electronic forms, but this seems to be a pretty good deal.

Are they in html? Is it easy to search for keywords? Quality of figures? Are the contents useful? From the sample page, text description of biology/habitat/ecology of the species seem to be limited. But the distribution maps seem to be a nice feature.

I didn't get any feed-back last time, but I'm considering to buy this again.
    Have anyone read this cd-rom?

Yeah, I noticed that, too. But it mentions linux, so I wonder if there is a way to make it work on OS-X. We could use Virtual Box or something, but I'm not sure if it works with newer Windowz, neither. If I decide to get it, I'll let you know if it works on OS-X.

I had a CD of this, not sure of the age. It was quite a long time ago. You couldn't really search it as it wasn't text, but scans. Save your money.

The url has a copyright date on 1996. It says for Mac 7.0 or higher with a note that it is not compatible with OS X.

Thanks, Marni. Do you happen to remember if the scanned images are only accessible via some special software/viewer? Searchable feature would be nice, but if I can extract the jpg (or whatever scanned image), I would be ok since Icones Plantarum Tropicarum, Series I isn't easily available (I've been searching for it; series 2 is still available from robot). When I contacted, they didn't give me any useful info.

Chuck, Icones Orchidacearum, which is a part of the cd-rom, is freely available: Icones Orchidacearum It is not reachable, but IOSPE generally contains the link to the plates in this series.
