Hellfire MJ, a good, fresh peach cobbler just doesn't need any additional goop on it and that one looks delish!

In my humble opinion, Georgia keeps all its lovely peaches in state. The peaches we
see here are little, hard, knobby things, damnit! MJ, might you post a recipe for your
cobbler?

I just noticed this , lordy that looks good. I just finished a super large super peachy peach, so much juice.

Clark (( peach cockaigne )) i think is another one of those Male Fertility Dances done with Peach tree's.

 

Brant, they must do a lot of that dance because they got a bunch of peach trees in Georgia. Wait Brant, you're not taking this were MJ took the Father's Day thread, are you?

That looks REALLY yummy! May I have the recipe too, please? I didn't know Georgia peaches were ripe already. How come they don't have any at my vegi/fruit market yet? Snif, snif,,,, I made a fresh cherry pie the other day though. Yummy. Peaches are better. They are like one of the top two bestest fruits; after raspberries of course.

All the yummy fruits come from out here first, well Florida has some OK Strawberries.
Raspberries are great but they sure go bad PDQ, i am more fond of Blue & Blackberries or is that Black & Blueberries

9/10 times THE BEST will be homegrown in someones backyard in any state, not a large farm.
Florida has some nice Beaches when huricanes ain't torn them all up, strawberries not so sure !!

 

In the early part of the year we get strawberries from Calif. When the ones from Florida are in the store, the quality vastly improves.

 

well DUH, we save the good one's for ourselves and send the crappy moldy one's to Tallahasee. Everyone out here knows that !!

I had a red plum this morning w/ a Cali sticker.. it was so Plumy i had to smack myself .

Florida citrus is much better then the citrus out of Calif. I start each day with a glass of pink grapefruit juice every morning. Get's me going in the morning.

 

stickin your finger in a light socket will "get ya going" just as easily.

Florida citrus is a dying industry with what 3, 4, 5 different insect or microbial plagues ravaging the groves.
pretty soon you'll be sipping a Texas-Arizona or Cali made glass of Pink Grapefruit . Lower Rio Grande puts out some might fine Grapefruits !!!

do you like lettuce, almonds, grapes, avocados and a myriad of other goodies..move west man move WEST

 

An interesting thing about the almonds. The almond growers rent bees from Minnesota(and elsewhere I imagine) to do the pollinating. The thing is, this happens in the begining of the year. That means it is winter here and the bees are hibernating. So they get shipped to Calif., woken up, fly around, then boxed up, shipped back to make honey. Actually, they make some more stops. Maybe even Dale's bog.
