    Hello all,

This is my first post here.

I have been searching for a Trichopilia X Ramonensis (a natural hybrid between suavis and marginata) for the past couple of months and have not been able to locate one. Does anyone know where I might be able to acquire one? I am not particularly picky about where it’s from. I just have always had a soft spot for trichopilias and the ramonensis is one I’ve always wanted.

    Thank you.

One thing that might be helpful if you'd mention what area of the world you live in, as that might affect the sources that are available to you.

Good luck. I've checked through my typical sources and I don't see anybody offering this hybrid at the moment, but it looks like several had, or may have had, it available in the not too distant past. So it may pop up again at some point soonish.

You might want to consider contacting vendors directly (phone/email) to see if they have this hybrid available. Lots of places have one-offs and/or may have extras in their personal collections that they'd be willing to part with.

If you're in the USA, it looks like Marlow has had flasks available somewhat recently, and they're a trustworthy vendor. If you get really desperate, there's a thread on the orchid board forum from a user who mentioned they bought a flask last year, you might consider contacting them to see if they have any seedlings they'd be willing to sell. OrchidWeb has a listing, but it's sold out. You could contact them and use the "notify me when in stock" sign-up. Same deal with Seattle Orchids. My only hesitation there is that they have an unacceptably high rate of mislabeled plants in my experience, so I wouldn't count on them for something that I really cared about.

I think Tenman (The Orchid Court) who sometimes posts here had them several years ago.

    Hello All,

    Thank you for your responses.

    I live in New York.

I will contact Marlow's Orchids. I did contact Orchidweb a few weeks ago and they said that this plant will probably never been in-stock again.

I am also fine importing plants or picking them up from a foreign vendor at a show.
