I initially bought it to cook with but didn't use it at that particular time. Yesterday, I had no beer and since they won't sell carry out beer on Sunday (I can sit at a bar all day on a Sunday and drink but god forbid I should get 6 from the gas station to take home and drink) I thought of the Chard.
I'm still thinking next time I'll choose a different color.

WOW, I can remember when I first moved here in 1983 and you could drive up to the ABC drive through window on Sunday morning and get a mixed drink to go. Can't do it any more.
Didn't realize you folks in Georgia were so backwards.

or a bible belt thing. In Florida it only occurs with counties that butt up against Georgia.

Yeah, our Govenor, Sonny Perdue DVM, says that if people want beer in their houses on Sunday, they will just have to start planning better. Dumb ole cracker.

I dunno MJ, not planning for beer consumption seems kinda reckless to me. Having said that, your Governor would be lynched if he tried something like that here :)

I usually do plan well, Tracey, but some days...what can I say. I am a mere human.
And some Saturdays are just longer then others. *sigh*
I can't wait for summer. Them's some long days and nights.

no it ain't.... can't buy here before noon on a Sunday. Chards give me the creeps....give me a nice full-bodied red...maybe a nice Chianti Classico.

Ron, I had a nice Chianti the other night. Senso or Sensi I think the name was. It was the 1994 Reserva. Really good!! (sorry Forrest for thy hijack, but bey at least I am not the first)

I'm planning on making some paella for dinner, either on my birthday or the weekend following and a nice Chianti is just what the doctor ordered.

And personally, I thought this was a great hijack.

MJ, you might want t consider a nice Spanish wine for that dish. A white or red rioja wine would be a logical pairing. Reservations is much nicer for one's birthday dinner ;)
