it all started with a walk in the grnhs to take a photo of a stunning Tillandsia in bloom for the first time, T. albertiana from Argenina. The air in the grnhs was freash and alive, the temperature the same as my skin, it was stone silence except for the low hum of fans and the trickle from the water fountain... it was a perfect morning....:)

Amazing greenhouse, Debby. Everything looks so healthy and spotless. I love that Tillandsia, and the Gastrochilus and Schoenorchis are pretty great too!

Your greenhouse is like a mirage for me, I ask me when I'll became a good grower.
All is sane and beautiful, How do you do it? Bravissima!

What is the plant in the third picture in the second post?

that would be Dyakia hendersoniana most have 3 spikes this year, they love the new grnhs! they are just starting to bloom, just in time for show time. The first show of the season for me will be ORCHIDS IN THE PARK, Sept 17&18 in Golden Gate park. Nice show with about 12 vendors, inc. Golden Gate, Cal, Andy, Gold Country, Seed Engae, and me, to name a few.

right now it is in spagnum moss and a 2 in terra cotta, it had a total of 12 flowers this year and has been in bloom close to 2 months. I repot things in moss every year, so when the new growth gets a little bigger I'll repot. If it needs up potting I'll use a plastic pot and med. size orchidata bark.

I grew my Den. tobaense in clay pot with moss and it had done well, but now I grow it in clay pot with CHC mix and one on hardwood mount.

Debby your new greenhouse is amazing as are all the gorgeous, well-grown orchids within it. I especially like the waterfalls of Aerangis spikes!

Wow...that eurychone and dend tobaense have me swooning. What are things that grow around that tobaense, so I can get some idea of conditions you have - thanks for sharing - it looks incredible!

sorry Calvin, I missed your question, in fact I missed the last 6 or 7 posts. Anyway, my grnhs is intermediate, the night low is 58 and goes up to about 85, now that I have a swamp cooler I can keep it from reaching 100. I try to keep the humidity around 70%. Of course there are micro climits and bright spots, I just moved into the rebuilt grnhs last christmas,so I'm still figuring areas out. With a 16 ft. roof I get really good light. The plant behind the tobaense (which still has 3 flowers on it) is a Vanda, when things I'm keeping are in bloom I bring them to the front so I can see them from my chair in the living room, as the grnhs is attached to the east and south sides of my house.
