This hybrid of Laelia anceps and Laelia (syn.Catteya) pumila had me from the first time I saw a pic and had to get a division for myself, and still does, 15 years later. The stately, elegant flowers are large for the modest-sized plant, which is an even bland fo the parents morphologically.

The lip detail is beautiful and elegant. Does the flower spike stay compact?

Yes, it's not above the leaves.
