A very nice clone from Sandro Cusi in Mexico. The flowers last best if it isn't in the greenhouse. It has a wonderful fragrance.

    Hi Marni.

As you write (quote) 'from Sandro Cusi in Mexico' (unquote), it can be assumed that this species of Laelia is endemic to Mexico ...

My question is : from what part of Mexico (state) do Laelias come from, i.e. where in Mexico do they grow naturally in the wild ?

    Best Regards,
    Stanhopeus.

    Hi Stanhopeus

The Laelias autumnalis grow on the coast of the pacificico. Nayarit, Jalisco, Michoacan, Edo. of Mexico. (There Sandro lives)

Villamelon, welcome to IO and thank you for answering Stanhopeus' question far better than I could have. This was a named division when Sandro brought it for sale to a show here in California. Do you know this clone?
