The easiest-blooming of my rupicolous laelias, this year it carries seven 1.5-inch flowers on one spike on a plant just over 3 inches tall. I grow these in a mix of half clay pellets and half hand-chopped sphagnum, watered everyday in the summer, biweekly in the winter, grown as warm and in as much light as I can manage. Depending on the light and temps, there flowers are sometimes tipped in violet/indigo, and are always crystalline in texture.

Nice job, Tennis. Getting rupicolous Laelias to bloom is still a mystery to me.

Nice one! Perhaps sometimes I will try to grow one of these.
